

We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Fifth Annual Conference of the Eastern European Risk and Insurance Association (EERIA). The Conference will take place onsite from September 17 to September 19, 2026, at the Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro, in Podgorica, Montenegro. The Conference is jointly organized by the Faculty of Economics – Podgorica and the Insurance Supervision Agency of Montenegro.
The Conference aims to provide a high-level forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience on insurance economics, finance, and risk management, with a particular focus on developments in Eastern Europe, while maintaining a strong international perspective.
The program will be structured into three main segments: a keynote speaker session, a panel discussion session, and research paper sessions. Renowned keynote speakers and panelists from academia, regulatory authorities, and the insurance and financial services industry will participate in the Conference. A detailed agenda will be announced in due course.
Academics, doctoral and graduate students, researchers, regulators, professionals, and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations are encouraged to submit their work. Both theoretical and applied research papers closely related to insurance, finance, and risk management are welcome. A non-exhaustive list of specific topics is provided in the official Call for Papers.
Authors are invited to submit executive summaries of up to three (3) pages, clearly outlining the purpose, expected results, and relevance of the research. Executive summaries should be concise and preferably submitted in PDF format. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process; therefore, submissions must be anonymised and should not contain the names of the authors or any identifying information. Acceptance decisions will be based on the reviewers’ overall evaluation.

Each accepted participant will have 10 minutes for presentation, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
The Conference will again feature the Center for the Study of Insurance Regulation, St. John’s University – IIF Robert J. Gibbons Best Paper Award (USD 500). To be eligible, the full paper must be submitted by the submission deadline.
